While inaugurating 'Harvesting Festival' at Kannur Minister K P Mohanan fell into canal from boat
Kerala Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan and Kallyasseri MLA TV Rajesh had a Great escape when the boat in which they were sailing capsized due to overload at Kannur district.
Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan, Rajesh(MLA) and Ezhome Panchayat President C V Kunhiraman, T Vanaja chief researcher of Agriucultural college, Padanakkad and seven other people were travelling in the ferry to cross a small canal, about five meters wide, to reach Kaipad paddy fields at Kottumanal near Ezhome to inaugurate the Kaipad paddy harvest festival,
Later, Kerala Minister Mohanan and Rajesh MLA inaugurated the festival even as their dress was soaked due to their fall into the water. After the function, the minister changed his dress in a nearby house as he had a spare one to attend the marriage of film star Vineeth Sreenivasan in Kannur in the afternoon.
