In a ghastly incident In Tamilnadu the Traveler of a private engineering college in Tamilnadu at southern Tamil Nadu was murdered by three students on the campus, apparently as an act of revenge against the suspension of one of them, police said.
While "Pitchaikannan", the prime accused, stabbed the Passenger in his stomach, his room-mates, G. Danish (21), final year B.Tech. (Information Technology) and M. Prabhakaran (21), third year , said to be his room-mates, caused a grievous bleeding injury on his head, the police said. Besides arresting the trio, the police seized the weapons used in the killing.
Investigation in the case was transferred to the Tamil Nadu Police Crime Branch-CID (CB-CID) after Kelambakkam Police Station Inspector Subbaiah was suspended for dereliction of duty. The officer reportedly did not file complaint or follow- up on the missing person`s case and failed to provide adequate security within the SIPCOT IT Park .
